Night Safari in Singapore [Day 1] continued....

The night safari in Singapore was quite an experience for me. I've never seen nocturnal animals before at night. The Night Safari in Singapore is one of the places you must visit when you visit Singapore. Here, they are many things to see, to learn, to experience. There are shows, tribal dances, tram rides that take you around the zoo, walking trails, dining places... There are just a lot to do there. Unfortunately, because my cousins were still all small, they did not know how to appreciate it yet. And we couldn't walk the walking trail, because scared the kids could not complete it and it was also getting late.
Some dining places...
Ticket booth...
The tickets were so VERY VERY expensive. S $40 to enter per adult. Convert to Malaysian Ringgit it's close to a RM 100 to enter per adult. But, Night Safari Singapore is something worthwhile to visit. You can learn a lot, if you listen attentively and pay attention to the guide explaining.
A display of pots, to produce different sounds...
The Tribal Dance was really cool! They performed with fire. It was fascinating to watch them. I think they used kerosene to blow fire out from their mouths. I'm amazed that they can stand the taste kerosene in their mouths. I wonder how kerosene tastes... I wish I could do what they did. It's just SO cool! I wonder how long did they train to not hurt themselves.
Breathing fire...
Tribal Dance performance...
Other than fire blowing, there also did fire-eating performances. I don't know the theory behind it. But I would like to find out. They used their mouths to put out the fire. Other than using fire, they also did some blowpipe demonstrations.

After watching the tribal dances, we went to see the "Creatures of the Night" show. It was pretty interesting. The animals that starred in the show were owls, raccoons, wolves, otters, binturongs, snakes and some that I cannot remember. The show was rather educational.

After the show was over, we took the tram ride around the zoo. We stopped half way, to walk a the walking trail. I wish I walked the whole trail. It would have been fun and interesting. Sigh! We then continued our tram ride. The tram ride was fun. I got to see many animals, like the lions, hyenas, deers, etc...
A picture I took during the walking trail... A skull...
After that, it was time to go home. We ate ice-creams at Ben & Jerry's before going back to the apartment though. Ben & Jerry's ice-cream is almost the same as Haagen Dazs. But I like Haagen Dazs better. I had mint with chocolate ice-cream. It was rare to find an ice-cream shop that sells that, because not many people like mint ice-cream.
Ben & Jerry's...
The video and more pictures of the tribal dance I took with my camera will be out soon! The video might not come out though, because it will take a long time to upload it into youtube.

Breathing fire is not cool. Wait till you get your face burnt as shown on a show called Simply Outrageous Behavior then you'll know. The daytime zoo is cheaper, I think, and much more worth it's ticket price.
