Not only girls want to be slim, trees want to be slim too!

I saw this coconut tree in a park, so I took a picture of it. Don't you agree that trees want to be slim too?

Tuition is a waste of time. Do you agree?

Everyday I hear my friends talking about tuition. Some going for a few tuitions and some going for 5, 6 tuitions... Don't you think it's crazy to fill your time with tuitions? Do you think that tuition can help you in your studies? A little, yes, but mainly, it's about your own attitude. If you can discipline yourself a few solid hours at home, a few hours of exercising, and a good night's sleep, you will achieve the results you desire.

If one spends one's time day with tuitions, would one have time for hobbies? Nowadays, parents want all of their children to be better to them. They put so much pressure on them that sometimes the children get harried. With school from seven in the morning till two in the afternoon, then from three till five and seven till nine at night filled with tuitions, when would one have time for hobbies? If this is repeated daily, when would one have time for hobbies? Hobbies like collecting stamps, collecting signatures will take a back seat. One can obtain information by collecting stamps. One can learn about the names of different countries. Nowadays, nobody talks about hobbies but tuitions.

Tuition is a waste of time, because time is spent getting to tuition and that time can be spent revising. Imagine, if a person going to tuition spends 2 hours revising, the person revising at home, can spend three hours revising, because the time spent traveling is saved. Furthermore, you save money also. Tuition costs money, and oil used to fuel the cars also cost money. You learn to be more independent to, because you will learn the art of studying, and this might help you in future.

Tuition doesn't encourage you to think. You are being spoon-fed. This would not help you in future, because one needs the ability to think to excel in the working world. The worse part is, some students go tuition to socialize. Isn't this a waste of time? Of course! They waste money, time and resources. Socializing is not bad, but one should find the right time to do it.

So, is tuition a waste of time?

I am What I Dress...

WARNING: THESE ARE ALL IMAGINATION ONLY. THEY MAY OR MAY NOT CONTAIN TRUE FACTS...

Do you agree with the statement "I am what I dress"? I don't. This is why:

Last year, my company boss asked me to go to one of the countries in Europe on a job. It was a small little country, called Servib. It was ruled by a king, by the name of Rusof Cornwell.

Rusof Cornwell was like any other king. Wearing precious gems, a golden crown, and what a normal king wore, and when I first saw him, he was what he dressed. Then, I looked at myself, wearing black slacks and a a T-shirt and a normal business man, and yes, I am what I dress.

But an odd thing happened when I arrived at the airport. I was approached by the airport guards. They said the king's guards wanted to see me for attempted smuggling. I was surprised! Because I was not smuggling anything at all! When I was brought to the guards, I tired to explain. But before I could explain, the guards told me that they needed my help. I was surprised! They said they told the airport guards that I attempted smuggling because they did not want spies to know what they were up to. After they explained, I realized the danger I would be going into, because they wanted me to pose as a king. There was a plot to assassinate the king to take over the throne.

To cut the story short, the king did not get assassinated, but instead, his captors were caught and some killed, and the king thanked me. For once, I did not dress who I was. I dressed like a king, but I wasn't one. I disagree with the statement "I am what I dress".

What do you think?

Imagination...

Have you ever thought of hitchhiking on a light beam till the end of the universe and then come back home? Imagine the miles you have traveled. I wonder what it would be like when I come back.

WARNING: ALL OF THESE ARE IMAGINATION ONLY...

The speed of light is so fast that one wonders if time is passing. Yet, the universe is so wide and far that it takes 25 years to travel till the end of the universe. I missed by homeland, so I returned by hitchhiking another light beam. That took me another 25 years. And lo behold, I arrived back on Earth, but what changes had occurred to the world. What once was a polluted and dirty Earth, is now clean and unpolluted. Fresh air is available, yet there is no trees in sight. I looked around and saw, big machines. I wondered what there were, but actually there were big generators producing oxygen from water. I looked into the sky, and saw "flying cars"! An advertisement told me, that the "flying cars" were powered by carbon dioxide. I was amazed that once upon a time, the cycle was once photosynthesis carried out by the plants.

I looked around the dressing of the people and hailed one to asked about the trees and plants. He told me that all the plants and trees had been wiped out when a few meteors had hit the Earth at the same time. After that, an ice age lasted for 5 years, causing many to perish. But some survived, because people lived underground. And the technology was kept. He also added that the scientist were now working hard to genetically produce plants. They have just recently found some seeds in ice.

After he told me everything, I asked him what kind of clothes was he wearing. He told me it was the genetic fiber suit, that could be washed by just walking through a ray, that removes dirt and kills all microorganisms. WOW! I thought this only happened in science-ficton story books.

And there I knew, so many things had happened since I hitchhiked a light beam and traveled the galaxies. The home I knew was no longer there. In its place was totally different then I last remembered it. How I miss the green plants.

The storm was violent...

What will you think of in a storm? How do you describe a storm? Come to think of it, it is quite hard to write a good descriptive short passage of a storm.

Here is what I thought of:

Dark and heavy clouds filled the sky. Lighting streaked across the sky illuminating the cityscape briefly. Heavy rain started to fall, pelting everything in its way. The ground shook, and glass were heard shattering, probably caused by an earthquake a few mile away. The twister looked so near, sending debris flying in the sky. The wind was howling like a banshee, causing children to scream. Water was seen flowing down from a nearby hill bringing down mud, covering the houses and cars right below the hill. No one would know there once a house stood there. Thunder was booming away like canons were firing. Lightning stroked a tree and it started to burn. People ran heater-skelter to seek safety. Chaos and panic reigned.

What do you think of my piece?

Sports... Good or Bad?

Is sports a waste of time? I don't think so. I think sports benefit one mentally and physically. Sports is an activity of human endurance. It tests man to see the limits of man. If sports is a waste of time, why are countries hosting major competitions like Euro football, World Cup, Olympics and other major tournaments? Sports doesn't just benefit an individual, but also the country too.

When I think of sports, the first thing that comes to my mind is my favorite sport, squash. I think of players trying to hit the black ball against the wall, until one fails to retrieve it. I too spend time on sports. I play squash. One gets to keep fit and build one's physique while playing sports. Playing sports is actually exercising. Exercising keeps the blood pumping in your body and this prevents you from falling ill easily. Research indicates it slow the process of aging. So sports really can't be that bad...

Sports can also generate one country's economy. Take China for an example, recently, China just hosted the Olympics in Beijing. Because of the Olympics, at that time, all eyes were at Beijing. Why? Because Olympics is one of the oldest competition and covers almost every sports. Tourism is China will be the main benefactor, because people want to watch the athletes in action. People waited a day just to buy the tickets for the opening ceremony. Hosting the Olympics, also makes the country proud. It shows that the country has arrived, and now holds the title "Olympic City".

Usually when we play sports, we play in a group. This helps foster new friendships and we get to know the culture of other people. If you look at it in a larger scale, different people from different countries meet at Beijing to compete against each other. Take an athletic from China, he will get to meet people from Cuba, Malaysia, Russia, Israel and so many people from other countries. He will have friend from almost every country.

Sportsman and sportswoman will also learn good sportsmanship and learn to win and lose happily. That is why there is a phrase called "Everybody is a winner!". Take Olympics for an example, the people taking part in it would be proud, because they are representing their country. Sportsman and sportswomen will also learn how to play without cheating, like taking drugs to increase stamina.

So, what do you think? Sports good or bad? I think sports is good for you...

Danger Wheels, the game...

From the picture, you might team this game is really fun, but the fact is, it is ok ok only la. When beginning that time nice. but later on, once you play for quite some time, you will feel that it is quite boring. I am the red little car. Your objective is to blow out the opponent's car, by dropping mines. There are a few power ups in this game, that are, speed up, bigger bomb and freeze the opponent's car for a few seconds.
Snapshots in the game...
Me letting a bomb go off...
I won 9:2. You have 3 stages in all. To win 1:0, you must defeat the computer 3 times, before proceeding the next stage.

The game gets more boring as you play on, my total score was 32000, what was yours?

I give this game a rating of 6 out of 10.

More and more crime everyday...

Just recently, a big robbery happened in an airport, concerning three robbers and a money changer, but luckily for the money changer, the robbers took the wrong bag, containing the money changer's clothes instead of money. But the robbers shot 10 shots, and 3 hit the money changer and 7 hit the floor. These bullets could have endangered the lives of others. Malaysia is no longer a safe place, it used to be. So, we as citizens, we must do our part to curb crime. We should support the campaign "Prevent Crime, Get Involved, We Can Do It Together" launched by the government. But to me, I think the government should use the money spent on campaigning, to buy CCTVs. I understand that KL has many CCTVs to curb crime, but how about other cities in Malaysia? Don't think some big cities in Malaysia should have CCTV installed too? I'm not saying that campaigning is not good, just that too much campaingning is pointless and useless.

So, how to we as citizens, do our part? To me, I think we can report immediately any sign of crime to the police. Or, we can respond to a cry of help of the victim of crime. Don't just stand there, because one day, you might need help yourself.

Conclusion, CITIZENS UNITE, FIGHT CRIME!
