In YLDP, the speaker shared 10 hindrances one may face in our spiritual connection with God, they are:
- Not making time for growth and reflection.
I think this is very true. We often do not make time to reflect and let it grow what you have learnt on the word of God. We must always take time to reflect what you have learnt in MYF or in church. Most times, God is speaking to you in someways through that. - Fear of pain that comes from dealing with our weaknesses and issues.
It is sometimes very hard to face our own faults. We always tend to blame it on other people. And yeah, most of the time, we fear rejection, and pain. We all want to be in the click, to be popular. It's in the human nature. But, we must learn how to deal with those, we must stay strong. - Buddy Jesus concept.
- Inability to deal with your own personality.
Sometimes, your own personality will stand in the way. I am experiencing that quite often. Because I'm the will not speak out type of guy unless there is really something I'm against it, it's harder for me to bond with people, I do not click easily with people. This sometimes can be a problem, because sometimes, I tend to feel a little left-out and rejected. Everyone wants attention from people. It's in the human nature. - A partially surrendered life.
When we come to Jesus, we need to surrender everything to Him. Do not let the troubles stand between you and God. We need to surrender everything to Him, your sorrows, your troubles, your unhappiness, your sadness, your discomforts, everything... Because if you only surrender half of your life, you are not taking God seriously and you will not concentrate fully on God. Jesus sacrificed His life for us, so that we can go to heaven. The most we can do is, surrender everything to Him. This is what I feel. - Guilt
Phil 3:12-14
12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. - Impatient
Sometimes, when God doesn't answer our prayer, we tend to get a little frustrated and impatient. Sometimes, it is God's way of telling you that it is not the right time yet. We must wait for God's perfect timing. - Shallow perceptions with just enough attitude.
Always remember this. Pure pleasure comes from God. - Pride
Sometimes pride can stay in the way. You want to take care of your face, and this might sometimes lead you to do the wrong thing. Sometimes, you know it's wrong, but because of your friends there, you still do it. Christians, do what is right, keep friends who do the right thing. Asking you to do wrong stuff in the eyes of God are not your true friends... - Sin
Nobody is perfect. And so am I. Humans sin all the time. Nobody can claim to be perfect.

Ok,right. As the speaker said,we face many hindrances in our spiritual walk with God.It is true, and one of it that I face most of the time is pride.I struggled with it even until now.(pride can lead to many things if you think deeply eg.jeolosy)We know it's not right.Cauz 1John2:16 says"For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, isn't the Father's, but is the world's."Yeah.One thing good about you is you dare to confess, confess that your walk with God needs improvement, like all of us.But remember,no matter what hindrances you face, always remember to ask God to help you overcome it,do not do it on your own strength.Cauz only God can help you.Maybe your'e already yawning right now so,
ALL THE BEST ON YOUR SPIRITUAL WALK WITH GOD!
yeah...
all the best to you too!!!
