A Visit to Old Folks Homes...
My church organized a trip to visit the old folks at some Old Folks Homes nearby. There were quite a number of us that went. But there were a few MYF'ers that went. Where did they all go? If I'm not mistaken, there were 3 only that went. MYF'ers, we also need to make time to visit these people. They are being forgotten by society... Do you like being forgotten by people? The church only organizes to trips to these homes a year. Making time for two days in a year is too much?

This was the first old folks home we visited. There were about 19 old people there including the caretaker.

I'm not in the group picture, cause I was taking it. I pity all these old people. Here they are in the outskirts of the city, being forgotten by people. Why did their children throw them in such places? And also, why don't we MYF'ers organize like a spring cleaning for them? It would be something meaningful.

It is always "what is in for ME' attitude....so old folks/orphan take the back seat when we are celebrating.....ME too busy....caroling...party....many important tasks....WHY BOTHER?
