These days, teachers either give too much homework, or no homework at all. Which is better? Most days in school, except exam time, we students are burdened by the thought of having to complete all the homework given by the school teacher. By the end of the day, we students spend all our energy just to complete the homework, giving us no time to develop interests or pursue hobbies.
In a normal day in school, there are 10 periods, about 5 to 6 subjects taught everyday. If every teacher gives homework, imagine the amount of homework you need to do. One will need to burn the midnight oil just to finish the homework given by the teacher. Because homework, would be needed to pass up to the teacher the following day. Furthermore, students nowadays are occupied with tuitions and extra classes. How is one to cope? It is no wonder why students are so tired at the end of the day...
I'm not against giving homework, because practice makes prefect. But is giving excessive amount of homework good? In fact, sometimes giving homework might do harm. If one feels so pressured in completing the homework, one will just resolve by copying other people's answers. Doing harm to the copier.
So is homework good or bad? My opinion, homework should be given in moderate amount, not too much, not too little. This will give we students time to pursue interests, or maybe locate a hidden talent, or some time revising or exercising...

I was under the impression that homework is good...but I get the impression that students today don't get enough homework, otherwise why go for tuition?
