Outing With Friends. :)

I went for a movie @ Alor Setar Mall just now with a few friends of mine. We watched this movie "Skyline". The cinema was surprisingly empty.

Watch the trailer.

Anyway, the trailer may show that it's a movie with high graphics and all, the story-line is rather slow moving. And I think they'll be Skyline 2 coming out soon, as the ending was left hanging.

Movie Frenzy...

I think the last time I watched a movie was before my finals, Step Up 3, with some of my friends at AS mall.

After watching Step Up 3, being impressed by the dance moves, I asked around, whether they had the previous movies'; Step Up 2 and Step Up. Joey promised to borrow me hers, but she deleted it before I had the chance to borrow it from her. In the end, I borrowed it from Edward.
Well, the movie was okay, I guess? I prefer Step Up 3 though. The beginning of this movie was rather boring. I was very tempted to hit the fast forward button (which I did :D) at many a time. The dance moves weren't as spectacular as Step Up 3, and the final dance was a little dark and boring? I don't know... They are just my opinions.

Movie Rating:
★★★☆☆

Next movie, my sister's keeper. My first impression of the movie was, is this going to be another girly sort of movie? Little did I know that this movie was made based on one of New York Times' best sellers books.

This movie moved me to tears. It's about a girl, Kate at the age of 13 suffering from acute leukemia (cancer of the bone marrow), and Anna who was conceived to keep her sister Kate alive by donating her bone marrow cells and all. It's a really touching story, to see a mother not wanting to give up trying and searching of ways to keep her daughter alive... but the sad truth is, sometimes, you just have to let go.
Movie Rating: ★★★★☆

But if you read the book, it seems that the story line is entirely different. I have not read the book yet, so I can't say for sure. I plan to get hold of the book and start reading it. It should be a good and inspiring book to read, since I was already so touched just by watching the movie.
And oh, anyone got the book? :D Borrow me!

Step Up 3!.... @ AS Mall.

Step Up 3! I'm impressed... for it's choreography (mainly). The plot was, predictable? Oh well, I'll come to that later...

I was late in arriving in Alor Setar Mall. Jane, W. Lynn, Wei Ping and Goay had already arrived. I was delayed at the post office. At least I wasn't the last to arrive. Hahaha... Sunny arrived a minute of two later than me. we missed the first 5 to 10 minutes of the movie, too bad. And oh, I saw Susu Hean fetching a 5 girls home in his car. xD

The plot was rather predictable...? When Natalie appears in the movie, I was thinking to myself, will she be the one betraying the "Pirates"? It turned out that I was right. =D

The movie was about this guy named Luke, a dancer-cum-filmmaker which is desperate for money to pay back loans from the bank to avoid being evicted from his only home, a warehouse that's a haven for dancers! He hunts for fresh talent and finds Moose, and Natalie. In order to repay the loans, he and his team has to win the World Jam Competition which has a whooping prize money of 100K. However, it complicated here and there, as the team breaks up and reunite again.

I believe, the film is only nice for it's dancing, and "WOW" factor? I like the choreography. Moose is a great dancer! I wished I could dance like that, but I guess it's too late to learn. Me bones have harden. =S

Anyway... I WANT TO WATCH IT AGAIN!

Pressured.

I know my posts lately have been rather depressing. But that's what I'm feeling these days.

School has not been making my life easier.

Anyway, I just watched Shrek 3 with my sister yesterday. It was... okay? A kiddie movie I guess. But the creators of this movie is creative, you have to give them marks for that.

Hannah Montana the Movie... =)

Another movie by Walt-Disney Pictures. I don't know why, but I found this movie boring at parts. I think this movie is more suited to the younger teens. I think I have out-grown most of Walt-Disney Pictures, except for HSM and a few others.

I was surprised to see some other famous singers other than Miley Cyrus herself, like Taylor Swift! I like her songs, but I didn't quite fancy the song she sang in this movie.

But I like this song in this movie, it's so catchy!

My Rating for this Movie: 6/10.

Ben 10 Alien Swarm The Movie....

I seem to watch quite a number of movies lately, all graciously lent by Samantha. =) She is so kind... Haha... I probably will not get a chance like this until SUSOM and Chinese New Year ends. Even after that, I doubt that I'll have time, because if I get second batch of NS, I will have any time at home to watch movies. And by the time NS ends, I'll be starting a new chapter of my life, FORM 6!!!

Oh well, I'll cross the bridge when I get to it... After watching a Walt-Disney Production, I decided to watch a Cartoon Network Production instead. And I must say, because the way my hormones are wired, I prefer Ben 10 anytime compared to the movie "Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie" anytime.

This movie is about Elena's father being infected by the Queen of an alien swarm. Ben's grandfather, Max, had lost his trust in Elena's father because he was caught red-handed stealing some alien tech from the Plumber's vault. Max did not agree to help her at first, but did in the end. And Ben, as usual saved the world, from being colonized by the alien swarm, and Elena's father and Max were friends again,

I think this movie is good overall, but I was disappointed to only see Ben transform a few times. In the cartoon version of Ben-10, you can see Ben transforming many MANY times. People watch this movie to see Ben transform into his alien form... But oh well, it was still quite entertaining and all.

A must watch movie if you are a fan of Ben-10! =)

Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie....

"Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie", a Walt-Disney production. This movie is from the TV show Wizards of Waverly Place that is aired on Astro's Channel 615 daily. I had high expectations of this movie, because I had always liked their TV shows. Unfortunately, my high expectations did not exactly meet, but it was still okay. The storyline was about them going for a vacation without magic, but the Alex and her brother secretly kept the family wand and the forbidden spell book. One thing led to another during the vacation and Alex accidentally wished their parents never met. And thus, their adventure began looking the "Stone of Dreams" (I think, I can't exactly remember).

It is quite a nice movie to relax and unwind after a long busy day... =)

My Rating for this Movie: 6.5/10

G.I.Joe The Rise of Cogra... The Movie.

Another movie I borrowed from Samantha! ^^ She has loads of movies...

The computer-generated graphics were great! The weapons and gadget used were awesome! And if it wasn't for those, my rating for this movie would be much much lower... Something was just wrong with this movie. And I think some of playback scenes of memories weren't quite necessary. And the storyline was so jumbled up, and made me so confused! I actually found the movie boring at some parts despite being filled with so many action-filled scenes.

But the movie got me thinking, if these kind of weapons can be shown in the movie, it's just a matter of time, before in reality, these kind of weapons are developed and used. With these extras, what would be the world like? A scarier place, where humans destroy themselves for power! And that would be the end of the world.

Been Watching Movies Lately... =)

Been watching movies lately, something I have not done since the month before SPM started. These two movies were graciously lent by Samantha... =)

First movie... "Taken".

A very nice movie! This show is about a retiree of an CIA employee, divorced. He has a daughter, and she goes to Paris with her friend Amanda. His daughter gets kidnapped by human traffickers. He goes to Paris and saves his daughter.

This movie has non-stop action! Plenty of shooting! It also shows how much a father would go through just to save his daughter.

My Rating for this movie: 8/10.

Next movie... "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past".
I somehow find this movie rather boring comparing to the movie "Taken". This movie is about a playboy, making girls love with him. Once they fall in love with him, he dumps them. At one time, he breaks up with 3 women at a time. He attends a wedding of his brothers, and nearly ruins it. 3 ghosts visits him, and he is a changed man.

I find the storyline a little lame and boring. It's somehow like copied from Mr. Scourge, just that this is a different scenario. Oh well...

My rating for this movie: 5/10

Movies!!!

I know exam is around the corner, precisely 31 days time... I know I have some serious studying to do. But, you have to rest every now and then. I think if you study whole-heartedly during the time you allocated yourself to study, I think you would have some time to at least take a break.

I've watched two movies lately. One two weeks ago, another today. Both borrowed from Loh.
17 AGAIN... I watched this 2 weeks ago! My conclusion for this movie, "Girls are EVIL!" Haha... This movie is quite okay lar... I wouldn't watch it again though...

My Rating: 5/10
Fast & Furious 4! Awesome! But not as nice as Tokyo Drift, in my opinion. Nice cars. One day, I wanna customize my own car!

Night at the Museum 2...

I watched this movie with my dad last week! Night at the Museum 2, "Battle of the Smithsonian"! It was a fantastic comedy movie! I watched this movie at Big Cinemas, Sitiwan.
I found this movie to be rather informative. There were characters of Amelia Earheart, and some other people who made history...

Mum at Sixteen

This is one touching movie. A sixteen year old high school student, becomes pregnant, and gives births to a boy named Charley. Instead of giving him up as for adoption, she chooses to keep the baby. Her mother, supports her decision and allow Jacey to finish high school and to lead a normal life.

Jacey goes to school as usual, but one day, Donna sees Jacey with Charley, and asks if Jacey is his mother. Although Jacey lied about that, many people witnessed the interrogation and believe Jacey is really the mother. Her secret is found out in school when Jacey asks Donna how she feels about casual abortion.

When other students criticize her for her hypocrisy, she goes to a mothers meeting for teens. She decides to bring these girls to her school and shows what happens when they have unprotected and casual sex. After that, Donna receives a call that there is a baby waiting to be adopted. Overjoyed, Donna and Bob go adopt the child, only to find it's Charley. Jacey has decided to give him up for his benefit although it hurt her a lot.

This is really one touching movie. We must learn to accept those who although have done unprotected and casual sex people, as normal people. You can't treat them like they're some piece of dirt.

An Afternoon Out With Friends...

My mother allowed me to spend my afternoon out with my friends at Alor Star Mall. There 6 of us who went. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures. We went to watch Street Fighter, one of the new movies, at Big Cinema. The movie ticket was RM 10 per person. So EXPENSIVE!! The fighting scenes were awesome!

The only scene I find it so FAKE is when Gen teaches Chun Li one of the kung fu methods. It was so FAKE!

I rate this movie 7/10.

High School Musical 3... the movie...

This movie was a big hit everywhere in the world, particularly teenagers like me. =P This movie alone, grossed up USD 82 million in the opening weekend alone. :O After watching all 3 of High School Musical, I feel High School Musical 1, is the best. It seemed more original. Comparing this to Mamma Mia the movie, Mamma Mia is so much better. The music fits the scenario perfectly. But never mind, Mamma Mia has been there for ages. So, by right, it should be better.

There are quite a number of new songs in this movie. But, I don't really like them. I don't know why, except for the song called "Can I Have This Dance". It's just so... nice. And, in some parts of the movie, it's just so romantic. *Sighs*

I can't help but wonder, is high school really that fun? I wish I could experience it for myself. I was talking to my friend the other day who has migrated to Australia. I indeed admire their system over there.

In Australia, they let you explore your mind, they let you take part in what interests you, and let you develop them. But here, in Malaysia, it's just so... STUCK UP! Even, my school's annual sport's day. The teachers in charge are having trouble forcing the students to attend sports practice. I think, the Malaysia government, should practice the "school district" system. So that, the schools will be accessible to students. The school would not be too far from the students' home. What do you think?

Anyway, High School Musical 3: Senior Year is quite okay. You should watch it...

Currently Watching... Prince Caspian... the movie

Prince Caspian the movie from the series of Chronicles of Narnia is one fantastic movie! But, I think there is something wrong with the plot though. I've read the whole series of the Chronicles of Narnia by C.S.Lewis a few years ago. And I think, the four children got into Narnia by a train crash, but in th movie, it was different.

Here how the story goes. After they left Narnia for a human year, 1,300 Narnian years, the four children get back into Narnia. Narnia that time, was ruled by the Telmarines. There was a prince, Prince Caspian, running away from his uncle, because his uncle wanted his son to be king. Caspian blows the magical horn trying to summon for help.

The four children find back their old treasures and weapons. And saves Trumpkin from two Telmarines. The old Narnians assemble back together, and they plan to attack Miraz, the king of the Telmarines. Lucy suggested to wait for Aslan to reappear, but Peter thinks he has waited for Aslan long enough. The Narnians succeed in raiding Miraz's castle. But Peter, calls for a retreat when he realized that they were overwhelmed by the soldiers.

As Miraz and his army arrive at Aslan's How, Caspian suggests that Peter and Miraz duel one-to-one. Miraz loses, but Sopespian suddenly kills Miraz with one of Susans arrows and accuses of the Narnians of shooting Miraz. They then fight.

Lucy, meanwhile, found Aslan. Aslan commanded the trees and the trees help fight the soldiers off. The soldiers retreats. And the Narnians won the war! Peter and Susan, found out by Aslan, that they will never return to Narnia. Susan and Caspian kiss, knowing that they will never meet again. The four children then return to England. And Caspian becomes the King of Narnia.

Currently Watching... Mamma Mia... the movie...

My first impression of this movie was "Oh, this is going to be like the High School Musical..." And it turned out that I was right. Only that, Mamma Mia, is way better than High School Musical. The ABBA music fits perfectly at each scene. I salute the person that directed Mamma Mia.

The movie starts out with a girl, a to be bride, Sophie, posting three wedding invitations to three different men that might be her father, without telling her mother. She then shares the secret with her two best friends, Ali and Lisa.

Her mother reunites with her former Donna and The Dynamos band-mates. The three men arrive, and Sophie, smuggled them to the goat house. But Donna, discovers that secret.

At Sophie's bachelorette party, Donna and The Dynamos perform a performance. She learns quite a bit from the three men. But Sophie cannot handle the truth, and faints on the dance floor.

With her big plans falling apart and wedding in jeopardy, she tells her boyfriend, Sky, all about it. He reacts angrily to it, and Sophie turns to her mother for support.

When the wedding ceremony starts, Donna, her mother confesses that her father is present at the wedding. The three men concur that they would be quite happy to be one-third of a father of Sophie. She then tells Sky that they should postpone the wedding and travel around the world first. Sam, one of the men, proposes to Donna and she accepts, and they go through an impromptu ceremony.

The story conclude as Sophie and Sky bid farewell to Skopelos island and sail away to a new life, together.

Quantum of Solace.. the movie...

Well, this is one good movie, compared to Twilight. LOL. I like the cars in the movie, where James Bond gets hunted by his enemies. But compared to the previous James Bond movie, Casino Royale, Casino Royale is much better. And also, there were no gadgets...

Rating for this movie: 5/10...

Twilight.... the movie...

I watched this movie last Tuesday at Sarah's place... We had some sort of movie night... There were I think 8 of us there that night... And all of us agreed that, Twilight the movie was such a disappointment. The book was so great, but the movie was a let off. I think Disney or Warner Bros would have done a better job... The movie just sucks!!!

The only scene worth watching is the baseball scene, where they played baseball in the thunderstorm. They also added and skipped scenes of the book. They were not detailed enough...

Rating of this movie: 4/10.

But reality is, he has got any. He then gets send off in a box accidentally. And travels all the way back to Hollywood. He mets Mittens, a black cat, and Rhino, a hamster. Together the travel back with Bolt back to Holleywood.

Wall-E, the movie...

The following in day in Sitiawan, my father dropped me, my lil sis, my aunt and my grandmother at the newly opened cinema to watch Wall-E.
The new cinema in Sitiawan...
The movie is about a robot, after hundreds of lonely years of doing what he was built for, Wall-E (short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class) discovers a new purpose in life (besides collecting knick-knacks) when he meets a sleek search robot named Eve. Eve comes to realize that Wall-E has inadvertently stumbled upon the key to the planet's future, and races back to space to report her findings to the humans (who have been eagerly awaiting word that it is safe to return home). Meanwhile, Wall-E chases Eve across the galaxy.
This movie is very nice.... Love it... I give it a rating 9 out of 10...
