For previous results, click here.

In badminton, Lee Chong Wei was proceeded into the semi-finals. He has beaten Sony Dwi Kuncoro of Indonesia 21-9, 21-11. Well, it just wasn't Sony's day.

In swimming, Daniel Bego was second in his heat, but not good enough to qualify. He missed the national record by a whisker, by 0.05 seconds. Khoo Cai Lin finished 8th in her heat. She was very far from the national record, she clocked 9:04.56, and the national record was 8:47.80.

Lunch at T.G.I. FRIDAYS....

Well, after going to the PC Fair in Penang, my family and I headed for JUSCO for lunch and shopping. We had lunch in T.G.I FRIDAYS. The service is good, the ambiance is good I can say that this is one of the rare restaurants the waiters and talk in fluent English.
The T.G.I. FRIDAYS menu...
The T.G.I FRIDAY'S tissue paper.
With the motto
"Come for the food.
Stay for the fun".
One of the few restaurants providing branded tomato and chili sauce...My sister's macrooni fried with some salsa sauce...
The main dish, beef ribs, that cost a whooping 52 dollars...
My mother's salmon that cost about 32 dollars...
The desserts...
The beef ribs was extremely nice. The sauce accompanies the ribs completely... The fries are nice too. Dip with the BBQ sauce makes it even nicer. My mother's salmon was ok, it tasted well, like salmon...

The strawberry dessert was the best among the three. The one topped with pineapples, reminds me of a biscuit, but I can't think of which biscuit...

T.G.I. FRIDAY'S is a bit pricey though. T.G.I FRIDAY'S is a place must try for ribs lovers...

Hope you get a feel of PC Fair... See you there next time!

4th day in Olympics Team Malaysia (continued)...

For previous results, click here.

Today is not a good day for Malaysia. Today, 2 teams of Malaysia's badminton players lost. Pity. The only person who won today was Lee Chong Wei, beating Navickas Kestutos 21-5, 21-7. The doubles pair, Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Hong beat Shurchi Sakamoto-Shintaro Ikeda of Japan in straight sets of 21-12, 21-16. Lee Wan Wah-Choong Tan Fook, the second doubles pair lost with a three sets to Lee Jae-jin-Hwang Ji-man of Korea, 22-20, 13-21, 16-21. Pity, I thought they would win... Wong Choong Han lost today to Hsieh Yu-hsing of Taiwan, 21-14, 17-21, 18-21. I think Wong Choon Han got too confident. Well, another event Malaysia is competing is sailing.

PC Fair in Penang...

Every year, my parents will bring me at least once in a year to PC Fair in Penang.
But before that, we had breakfast at a food court opposite PISA. We reached there an hour early. Therefore, we needn't pay for parking... Saved two dollars...
I had curry mee... But I forgot in Penang, curry mee is served with pig's blood. (The black jelly like things)
We had to wait outside while the people carried all the computer stuff in. We welcomed them like they were winning an big award.

And announcing the winner, Celcom 3G!!!Next post, random shots in PC Fair...

Malaysia's 3rd day in Olympics (continued)...

To see previous day's results, click here.

On the 3rd day, 11/08/08, the archery team lost to Italy 213-218. It is history that Malaysia's archery team could enter the quarter finals, because Malaysia's archery team has never qualified to enter the Olympics. In badminton, Lee Chong Wei beat Ronald Susilo of Singapore easily 21-13, 21-14. It is a BIG surprise that Wong Choon Han beat Taufik Hidayat of Indonesia. Taufik Hidayat is one of the better players in the world. Yet Wong Choon Han beat Taufik Hidayat, 21-19, 21-16. In women's singles, Wong Mew Choo cruised pass Petya Nedelcheva, 21-16, 21-18. In swimming, Daniel Bego finished 37th out of 44 swimmers in the 200m butterfly event, clocking 2:01.28, missing the national record set by himself, 1:59.40. Siow Yi Ting fnished seventh in heat 2 in the 200m individual medley event. She nearly beat her own national record by a whisker. The national record is 2:16.92.
